Made: 11th November 1993

Coming into force: 1st February 1994

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4 of, and paragraph 8 of Schedule 1 to, the Transport Act 1981[^f00001], hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Meldon Quarry Branch Line Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st February 1994.

Amendment to the Acts

In so far as the Designated Land is thereby affected, for the references in the Acts to the British Railways Board or their predecessors there shall be substituted references to the Company.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order has the effect of transferring from the British Railways Board to Euston Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Board, certain rights and liabilities conferred or imposed by the Okehampton Railway Acts of 1862 and 1864 and the Devon and Cornwall Railway Act 1868, so far as such rights and liabilities relate o the lands described in article 2 of the Order.
