Made: 11th February 1993

Coming into force: 10th March 1993

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:

The length of the Trunk Road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of North Yorkshire that the new trunk road is open for through traffic.

This Order shall come into force on 10th March 1993 and may be cited as the A63 Trunk Road (Whinny Hagg Lane to Magazine Road) (De-trunking) Order 1993.

SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF THE THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD

The length of the Trunk Road ceasing to be a trunk road is about 7.3 kilometres in length, and in the District of Selby in the County of North Yorkshire. It extends from its junction with Whinny Hagg Lane (marked "A' on the deposited plan) to a point on the Trunk Road 45 metres north-east of its junction with Magazine Road (marked "B' on the deposited plan).
