Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval and Approval Marks) (Fees) Regulations 1993 (“the principal Regulations”) in order to correct a drafting error.
The principal Regulations re-enacted with modifications the provisions of the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval and Approval Marks) (Fees) Regulations 1992.
Regulation 10(1) of and Schedule 4 to the principal Regulations prescribed No.80004 in the sum of £30 for the “issuing of an amended type approval certificate together with amended pages and index sheet of information package in accordance with the second indent of article 5(3) of the Framework Directive, in relation to a previously issued type approval certificate, where an extension to the original approval is deemed necessary”.The intention was for this fee to be #64.These Regulations give effect to that intention.
