Made: 25th November 1993

Coming into force: 17th December 1993

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other enabling powers:—

This Order may be cited as the A43 Trunk Road (Stamford Road, Northamptonshire) (Detrunking) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 17th December 1993.

In this Order:

The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road from the date when this Order comes into force.

THE SCHEDULE — LENGTH OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The length of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is that length of Stamford Road situated between its junction with the unnumbered principal road (south-west of Weldon) and the A427 (north-east of Weldon), in the District of Corby in the County of Northamptonshire, a distance of 2.45 kilometres, and is shown by broad black dashes on the plan numbered HA 10/EM 108, marked “The A43 Trunk Road (Stamford Road, Northamptonshire) (Detrunking) Order 1993”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY.
