Made: 16th December 1993

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 16th day of December 1993 Present, The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 2 of the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985[^f00001], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

This Order may be cited as the Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) Order 1993.

SCHEDULE — CONVENTION ON THE CIVIL ASPECTS OF INTERNATIONAL CHILD ABDUCTION, THE HAGUE, 25th OCTOBER 1980

Contracting States to the Convention Territories specified in Declarations under Article 39 or 40 of the Convention Date of Coming into Force as between the United Kingdom and the State or Territory
The Bahamas — 1st January 1994
Bosnia-Hercegovina — 7th April 1992

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, which is made under the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985, and which supplements the Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) Order 1986[^f00002], specifies for the purposes of that Act Contracting States to the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, The Hague, 25th October 1980, as well as the territories to which that Convention extends.
