Made: 9th March 1993

In exercise of powers conferred upon me by section 17(3) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1992[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I hereby make the following Order:—

1st April 1993 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the whole of the 1992 Act so far as it is not already in force[^f00003], except for the following purposes—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 1st April 1993 all the provisions of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1992 which did not come into force on Royal Assent, except section 5(2) in respect of Northern Ireland, and section 4 in so far as it relates to the new section 5(8)(e) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979. Paragraph 7 of the existing Schedule 2 to the 1979 Act is also preserved.
