(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Licensed Betting Offices (Scotland) Regulations 1986 by providing that a licensed betting office must be closed from 10pm until 7.00am the next day during April to August. For the rest of the year, such an office must be closed from 6.30pm until 7.00am the next day, as was previously the case throughout the year. These restrictions on opening are additional to those provided by paragraph 1 of Schedule 4 to the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963.
