At the Council Chamber, Whitehall By the Lords of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council Their Lordships, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Them by sections 48(1) and 60 of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992[^f00001] and all other powers enabling Them in that behalf, are pleased to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order specifies The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama as competent to grant degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic awards and distinctions except where the award or distinction, of whatever description, is made on completion of a programme of supervised research.

Article 2 (2) provides that the Institution may grant awards or distinctions in respect of courses of study completed on or after 1st September 1994.
