The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 46 of the Financial Services Act 1986[^f00001] and now vested in them[^f00002], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Financial Services Act 1986 (Miscellaneous Exemptions) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st July 1994.

Each of the following persons shall be an exempted person to the extent specified in relation to that person—

Paragraph 7 of Schedule 2 to the Financial Services Act 1986 (Miscellaneous Exemptions) Order 1988[^f00005] is hereby revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order provides for certain exemptions from the provisions of the Financial Services Act 1986 additional to those specified in Chapter IV of Part I of that Act. The persons specified are exempted to the extent specified in the Order from the requirement to obtain authorisation under the Act in respect of any investment business they carry on.
