(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Education (Payment for Special Educational Needs Supplies) Regulations 1994, so that for the 1994-95 financial year the maintenance grant of a grant-maintained special school is to be taken to include an amount for meeting the costs of goods or services supplied by local education authorities under section 162(1) of the Education Act 1993 where such an amount is included in Part I of the authority’s statement under section 42(3) of the Education Reform Act 1988 for that financial year (rather than the authority’s statement for the immediately preceding financial year).
