Made: 12th September 1994

Coming into force: 29th September 1994

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 41 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001], and now vested in him[^f00002], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:—

This Order shall come into force on 29th September 1994 and may be cited as the A419/A417 Trunk Road (Cirencester and Stratton Bypass and Slip Roads) Order 1994.

The new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct—

shall become trunk roads as from the date when this Order comes into force.

The centre line of each of the new trunk roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

The Secretary of State directs as respects any part of a highway which crosses the route of any of the new trunk roads that—

SCHEDULE 1 — ROUTE OF THE MAIN NEW TRUNK ROAD

The route of the main new trunk road is a route at Cirencester and Stratton in the District of Cotswold in the County of Gloucestershire. The route starts at a point on the A417 Trunk Road approximately 178 metres northwest of its junction with Dowers Lane (3/189) eastwards to a point approximately 47 metres northeast of the junction of the A419 Trunk Road with Northmoor Lane (40875), a distance of approximately 9.98 kilometres.

SCHEDULE 2 — ROUTES OF THE SLIP ROADS

Daglingworth Quarry Junction

Two routes given the reference numbers 1 and 2 on the deposited plan to connect the Cirencester and Stratton Bypass with the Daglingworth Quarry Junction.

Burford Road (A429) Junction

Four routes given the reference numbers 3, 4 , 5 and 6 on the deposited plan to connect the Cirencester and Stratton Bypass with the Burford Road (A429).
