The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 24(13) of the Telecommunications Act 1984[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Telecommunication Meters (Approval Fees) (BABT) (Amendment) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 3rd January 1995.

In this Order—

Article 4 (2)(a) of the principal Order is amended,

by deleting “£43.24” and substituting “£50.68”.

Article 4 of the principal Order is amended:

(b) an amount equal to the value added tax chargeable on the supply made in the exercise of that function.

; and

(3) For the purposes of this article, the value of the supply made in the exercise of the relevant function by reference to which value added tax is chargeable shall be the amount calculated in accordance with paragraph (2)(a) above.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Telecommunication Meters (Approval Fees) (British Approvals Board for Telecommunications) Order 1992 so as to increase the fees payable for the approval and monitoring of telecommunication meters from £43.24 per man-hour to £50.68 per man-hour. It also makes minor drafting amendments.
