Amendment of Principal Order

2

In article 3(1) of the principal Order, there shall be substituted for the definition of “the assessment authority”, the following definition:

  • “the assessment authority” means the Awdurdod Cwricwlwm ac Asesu Cymru or the Curriculum and Assessment Authority for Wales[^f00003] and includes any person or body appointed by that authority to discharge its functions under this Order;

Signed

John Redwood — Secretary of State for Wales — 10th March 1994

Explanatory note

(This Note is not part of the Order)

With some exceptions not material for the purposes of the present Order, the functions of the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority are, in relation to Wales, now vested in Awdurdod Cwricwlwm ac Asesu Cymru or the Curriculum and Assessment Authority for Wales. The present Order amends the definition of “the assessment authority” in the Education (National Curriculum) (Assessment Arrangements for English, Welsh, Mathematics and Science) (Key Stage 1) (Wales) Order 1993 to reflect this change.
