The Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1995

Coming into force

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(1) of the County Courts Act 1984[^f00001], hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1995 and shall come into force on the following dates—

• (a) articles 3(b) and 4(b) on 27th October 1995;

• (b) the rest of the Order on 29th September 1995.

Interpretation

In this Order, “the 1983 Order” means the Civil Courts Order 1983[^f00002], and a Schedule referred to by number alone means the Schedule so numbered in that Order.

Amendments to the 1983 Order

In Schedule 1—

• (a) “Wisbech” shall be deleted from its position in the second column opposite the entry for “King’s Lynn” in the first column;

• (b) “Market Drayton” shall be deleted from its position in the second column opposite the entry for “Shrewsbury” in the first column.

In Schedule 3—

• (a) The entry relating to “Wisbech” shall be deleted;

• (b) the entry relating to “Market Drayton” shall be deleted[^f00003].

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 so as close the County Courts at Wisbech and Market Drayton.
