Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

Regulation 7 of the Local Government (Promotion of Economic Development) Regulations 1990 imposes certain restrictions on principal councils (other than those specified in Schedule 1 to those Regulations, most county councils, and all such councils in Wales) in the exercise of their economic development powers. These Regulations remove those restrictions.
