Made: 23rd September 1996
The Department Finance and Personnel, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(3) and (5) of the Family Law (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 and paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 1974 and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Family Law (1993 Orders) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996.
Interpretation

In this Order—
- “the Consequential Amendments Order" means the Family Law (Northern Ireland Consequential Amendments) Order 1993 ;
- “the Family Law Order" means the Family Law (Northern Ireland) Order 1993.
Appointed day: commencement of maintenance enforcement provisions

Articles 6 to 11 of and Schedule 1 (except paragraphs 10 to 12 and 15) to the Family Law Order and the Consequential Amendments Order shall come into operation on 4th November 1996.
