Coming into force: 1st November 2000

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 29(5)(d) of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Source Records) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st November 2000.

Interpretation

In these Regulations—

Particulars to be contained in records

The following matters are specified for the purposes of paragraph (d) of section 29(5) of the 2000 Act (as being matters particulars of which must be included in the records relating to each source):
