Section 82(1) was amended by Schedule 14 to the Local Government Act 1985, Schedule 6 to the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads Act 1988 (c. 4) and Schedule 13 to the Education Reform Act 1988.

Subsection (3A) of section 85 was inserted by paragraph 9 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 2000. There are other amendments to section 85 which are not relevant to this Order.

Section 116 was amended by section 102 of, and Schedule 17 to, the Local Government Act 1985 (c. 51).
