Coming into force: 1st January 2005

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, being a Minister designated[^f00002] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to freedom of access to, and dissemination of, information on the environment held by or for public authorities or other bodies, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by that section, makes the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1st January 2005.
