The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Secretary of State concerned with the sea fishing industry in Northern Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5, 5A and 15(3) of the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967[^f00001], and now vested in them[^f00002], make the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Lyme Bay Designated Area (Fishing Restrictions) Order 2008; it comes into force on 11th July 2008.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order prohibits dredging for shellfish and demersal trawling in the area of Lyme Bay specified in article2.
