The Identity Cards Act 2006 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2009
Made: 25th August 2009
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 44(3) of the Identity Cards Act 2006[^f00001], makes the following Order:
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Identity Cards Act 2006 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2009.
Commencement

The following provisions of the Identity Cards Act 2006 shall come into force on 1stOctober2009 –
- (a) Section 22 (Appointment of National Identity Scheme Commissioner);
- (b) Section 23 (Reports by Commissioner);
- (c) Section 24 (Jurisdiction of Intelligence Services Commissioner and Tribunal); and
- (d) Section 42 (General interpretation) so far as necessary for the interpretation of the provisions specified above.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force on 1st October 2009 the provisions of the Identity Cards Act 2006 listed in article 2.
