The Northern Ireland Act 2009 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2009
Made: 8th September 2009
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(7) of the Northern Ireland Act 2009 [^f00001]:

This Order may be cited as the Northern Ireland Act 2009 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2009.

The following provisions of the Northern Ireland Act 2009 shall come into force on 26th September 2009—
- (a) section 2(3) (judicial appointments and removals) so far as it relates to the provisions specified in paragraph (b), and
- (b) in Schedule 4, paragraph 35(1) and (3) (transfer of appointment and related functions) in so far as they relate to the President or other member of the Charity Tribunal for Northern Ireland.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force on 26th September 2009 the provisions of the Northern Ireland Act 2009 listed in article 2.
