The Pensions Act 2007 (Commencement No.3) Order 2009
Made: 26th February 2009
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 30(2) of the Pensions Act 2007[^f00001].
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Pensions Act 2007 (Commencement No.3) Order 2009.
Appointed day
2
The day appointed for the coming into force of section 14 of the Pensions Act 2007 (conversion of guaranteed minimum pensions) is—
- (a) for the purpose of conferring power to make regulations, 1st March 2009, and
- (b) for all other purposes, 6th April 2009.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force section 14 of the Pensions Act 2007 (c.22) on 1st March 2009 for the purpose of making regulations and on 6th April 2009 for all other purposes. Section 14 introduces new provisions to allow Guaranteed Minimum Pensions to be converted into other pension benefits.
A full Impact Assessment has not been produced for this Order as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
