Coming into force: 30th January 2009

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001] and now vested in him[^f00002]:

This Order may be cited as the A46 Trunk Road (Newark to Widmerpool Improvement and Slip Roads) (Detrunking) Order 2009 and shall come into force on 30th January 2009.

In this Order—

The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the Nottinghamshire County Council that the new trunk roads are open for traffic.

SCHEDULE 1 — LENGTH OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The length of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is situated between Widmerpool and Newark and is located between;

and is shown by broad black dashes on the plan

This Order authorises the detrunking of a length of the existing A46 Trunk Road, between the lengths described below.

The length of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is situated between Widmerpool and Newark and;
