In relation to the exercise of his powers under the Finance Act 1973 he has the consent of the Treasury.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2009 and come into force on 3rd May 2009.

Increase in fees

In regulation 3 of the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) Regulations 1986[^f00003], for “£344” substitute “£361” and for “£141” substitute “£148”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) Regulations 1986 by increasing the fees for the approval of fitters or workshops for the installation or repair of recording equipment (tachographs).

The fee for the issue of an approval is increased by 4.9% from £344 to £361 and for the renewal of an approval by 5.0% from £141 to £148.
