Coming into force: 27th April 2009

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 18 and 326 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001]:

This Order may be cited as the Hendon Urban Motorway Special Roads Scheme 1961 (Variation) Order 2009 and shall come into force on 27th April 2009.

The Hendon Urban Motorway Special Roads Scheme 1961 as varied by the Hendon Urban Motorway Special Roads (Variation) and Connecting Roads Scheme 1964 is hereby varied to remove from the special road, the land starting at a point about 260 yards northwest of the intersection of Bunns Lane, Hendon with the route of The Hendon Urban Motorway Special Road and extending about 33 yards northwest along the special road as delineated and coloured red on the Plan.

The Plan means the plan numbered HA/35/2/17, marked “The Hendon Urban Motorway Special Roads Scheme 1961 (Variation) Order 2009”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at Document Deposit Service, Communities and Local Government, Room F13, Ashdown House, Sedlescombe Road North, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 7JS.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order varies the Hendon Urban Motorway Special Roads Scheme 1961 by removing motorway status from an area of land adjacent to the M1 motorway by Mill Hill Broadway railway station.
