The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19(2) and (3) of the Work and Families Act 2006[^f00001]:

The following provisions of the 2006 Act shall come into force on 6th April 2010—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force certain provisions of the Work and Families Act 2006 (c. 18). These provisions which concern additional paternity leave and pay will come into force on 6th April 2010. Sections 16 to 20 of that Act came into force on Royal Assent and certain other provisions were brought into force by earlier Commencement Orders (as noted below).
