The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 137, 145 and 210(7) of the Education Act 2002[^f00001], makes the following Regulations:

Citation and Commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Further Education (Principals’ Qualifications) (England) (Revocation) Regulations 2010 and shall come into force on 1st November 2010.

Revocation

The Further Education (Principals’ Qualifications) (England) Regulations 2007[^f00002], the Further Education (Principals’ Qualifications) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2009[^f00003], and the Further Education (Principals’ Qualifications) (England) (Amendment) (No 2) Regulations 2009[^f00004] are revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations revoke the Further Education (Principals’ Qualifications) (England) Regulations 2007 (“the 2007 Regulations”), the Further Education (Principals’ Qualifications) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2009, and the Further Education (Principals’ Qualifications) (England) (Amendment) (No 2) Regulations 2009. The 2007 Regulations, as amended, specified the qualifications that persons serving as principals to further education institutions were required to hold.

A full impact assessment has not been prepared for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen. The impact on the public sector is minimal.
