Her Majesty, in exercise of the power conferred on Her by section 37(2) of the British Nationality Act 1981[^f00001], by and with the advice of her Privy Council, orders as follows:

This Order may be cited as the British Nationality (Rwanda) Order 2010 and shall come into force on 10th March 2010.

In Schedule 3[^f00002] to the British Nationality Act 1981 (countries whose citizens are Commonwealth citizens), insert “Rwanda” at the appropriate place.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order adds Rwanda to Schedule 3 to the British Nationality Act 1981 with the result that citizens of Rwanda shall have the status of Commonwealth citizens.
