The Minister for the Civil Service makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(5)(a) and (8)(b) of the Superannuation Act 2010[^f00001]:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Superannuation Act 2010 (Repeal of Limits on Compensation) Order 2010 and comes into force on 21st December 2010.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Section 3 of the Superannuation Act 2010 (c. 37) limits the amount of compensation that can be provided, under a scheme made under section 1 of the Superannuation Act 1972 (c. 11), to people who suffer loss of office or employment. This Order repeals section 3 of the 2010 Act in so far as it affects schemes made after the commencement of section 3.
