The Submarine Pipelines (Designated Owners) Order 2010

Coming into force: 5th January 2011

Accordingly the Secretary of State makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Submarine Pipelines (Designated Owners) Order 2010 and comes into force on 5th January 2011.

Designation of ownership

For the purposes of section 27(1) of the Petroleum Act 1998[^f00002], each person specified in Part 1 of the Schedule is designated as owner of the pipelines described in Part 2 of the Schedule.

PART 1 — DESIGNATED OWNERS

• Nexen Petroleum U.K. Limited, company registered number 01051137, whose registered office is situated at Charter Place, Vine Street, Uxbridge UB8 1JG.

• Premier Oil U.K. Limited, company registered number SC048705, whose registered office is situated at Saltire Court, 20 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh EH1 2EN.

• Petro-Canada U.K. Limited, company registered number 00972618, whose registered office is situated at 1 London Bridge, London SE1 9BG.

• Mobil North Sea LLC, UK establishment registered number FC005975[^f00003], established at ExxonMobil House, Ermyn Way, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 8UX.

• Maersk Oil UK Limited, company registered number 00946986, whose registered office is situated at Maersk House, Braham Street, London E1 8EP.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order designates the companies listed in Part 1 of the Schedule as owners of the pipelines described in Part 2 of the Schedule. The pipelines described are used to convey petroleum which has been processed by the Scott platform; the first pipeline described in the table conveys oil from the Scott platform to the Forties oil pipeline and the second conveys gas from the Scott platform to the SAGE gas pipeline.

Both the pipelines are situated in the North Sea, off the east coast of Scotland.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument since it will not impose additional costs or reduce existing costs on businesses or the voluntary and public sectors.
