The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 51(1) and (2), 64(5) and (6) and 273(1) of the National Health Service Act 2006[^f00001].

In the Schedule to the principal Order, before the entry “Birmingham Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust”, add the entry “Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust”[^f00003].

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order adds the Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust to the Schedule to the NHS Foundation Trusts (Trust Funds: Appointment of Trustees) Order 2007. This means that the Appointments Commission must appoint trustees for that NHS foundation trust to hold property on trust for the purposes of the trust or relating to the health service and may remove trustees from office.
