Made: 9th March 2010

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 153(7) of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008[^f00001].

The following provisions of the 2008 Act come into force on 23 March 2010—

The following provisions of the 2008 Act come into force on 1 April 2010—

Section 144 (power to require data controllers to pay monetary penalty) of the 2008 Act, to the extent that it is not already in force, comes into force on 6 April 2010.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings provisions of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008[^f00004] into force. The provisions set out in article 2 come into force on 23 March 2010. The provisions set out in article 3 come into force on 1 April 2010. The provision set out in article 4 comes into force on 6 April 2010.
