The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 40(1) and (4) of the Health Act 2009[^f00001].

This Order may be cited as the Health Act 2009 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2010.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force, partially on 18th March 2010 (for the purposes of making regulations) and then fully on 24th May 2010, a provision of the Health Act 2009 requiring each Primary Care Trust in England, in accordance with regulations made by the Secretary of State, to develop and publish statements relating to the need for pharmaceutical services in its area.
