The Minister for the Cabinet Office, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(1) of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (Amendment of List of Responders) Order 2011 and comes into force on the day after the day it is made.

Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004

In Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (category 1 responders: general) after paragraph 1 insert—

  • 1A.The Greater London Authority.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 by adding the Greater London Authority to the list of Category 1 responders in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private and voluntary sectors is foreseen.
