The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8B(5) of the Immigration Act 1971[^f00001]:

This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) (Amendment No.4) Order 2011 and shall come into force on 13th May 2011.

In Part 2 of the Schedule to the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 2000[^f00002], insert “Council Decision 2011/273/CFSP of 9th May 2011 (Syria)”[^f00003] at the appropriate place.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order amends the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 2000 (“the 2000 Order”) by adding to Part 2 of the Schedule to the 2000 Order European Union Council Decision 2011/273/CFSP of 9th May 2011, made in response to the situation in Syria.
