At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 13th day of July 2011Present,The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in pursuance of paragraph (c) of Schedule 2 to the Charities Act 1993[^f00001], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Exempt Charities Order 2011 and shall come into force on 1st August 2011.

York St John University (Company Number: 04498683) is hereby declared to be an exempt charity for the purposes of the Charities Act 2006.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Orders)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order declares York St John University to be an exempt charity within the meaning of the Charities Act 1993 with effect from 1st August 2011. An exempt charity is not required to be registered with the Charity Commissioners and the Commissioners cannot exercise any powers under the Act in relation to an exempt charity except at the charity’s request.
