The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(2) of the Riot (Damages) Act 1886[^f00001], makes the following Regulations:

In the principal Regulations, the following are revoked—

The amendment made by these Regulations has effect in relation to any claim which could be made at or after the time that these Regulations come into force.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the 1921 Regulations prescribing the procedure for claiming compensation under the Riot (Damages) Act 1886.

In particular, they remove the requirement for particular specified information to be included in a claim, and remove the requirement for all claims to be in a specified form.
