The Safety of Sports Grounds (Designation) (No.3) Order 2011

Laid before Parliament: 12th September 2011
Coming into force: 7th October 2011
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(1) of the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975[^f00001]. In accordance with section 18(4) of that Act he has consulted with such persons as appear to him to be requisite.
Citation and Commencement

This Order may be cited as the Safety of Sports Grounds (Designation) (No.3) Order 2011 and shall come into force on 7th October 2011.
Designation

The sports ground specified in the Schedule to this Order (being a sports ground which in the opinion of the Secretary of State has accommodation for more than 10,000 spectators) is designated as a sports ground requiring a safety certificate under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order designates the Olympic Stadium, occupied by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Limited, as a sports ground requiring a safety certificate under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975.
