In accordance with paragraph 1(6) of Schedule 4A to that Act, the Minister for the Cabinet Office has consulted the National Assembly for Wales, the Scottish Ministers, and the Northern Ireland Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure.

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (Big Lottery Fund) (Amendment of Schedule 4A) Order 2011 and comes into force on 2nd November 2011.

In paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 4A to the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (number of members of Big Lottery Fund), for “12” there is substituted “between 9 and 12”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Article 2 of this Order amends the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 to provide that the Big Lottery Fund (a body corporate established by section 36A of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993) is to consist of no less than nine and no more than twelve members. This replaces the requirement for a fixed number of twelve members.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the business or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
