At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 16th day of November 2011Present,The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004[^f00001], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Fire and Rescue Services (Appointment of Inspector) (Wales) Order 2011 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Appointment of inspector

Brian Duncan Fraser is appointed an inspector for the purposes of section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 in its application to Wales.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order appoints Brian Duncan Fraser as an inspector under section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 in its application to Wales. An inspector is appointed under section 28(1) for the purpose of obtaining information as to (a) the manner in which fire and rescue authorities in Wales are discharging their functions and (b) technical matters relating to those functions.
