EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order specifies the existing vocational specifications which are to be treated as if they were apprenticeship frameworks issued under section 14(1) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 (“the Act”). The existing vocational specifications are to be treated as being issued on 13th April 2011, and are to be treated as being withdrawn on 31st December 2011. The Schedule to the Order specifies, for each of the existing vocational qualifications, the qualification that is to be treated as the competencies qualification, and the level and apprenticeship sector that is to be treated as being stated in the deemed framework.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sector is foreseen.
The Order forms part of the implementation of the statutory apprenticeships programme in Part 1 of Chapter 1 of the Act.
