Coming into force: 25th May 2012

The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 4 and 15(5) of the Trading with the Enemy Act 1939[^f00001], make the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Trading with the Enemy (Transfer of Negotiable Instruments, etc.) (Revocation) Order 2012 and comes into force on 25th May 2012.

Revocation

The instruments specified in the Schedule are revoked.

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order revokes orders made under the Trading with the Enemy Act 1939, sanctioning transfers of negotiable instruments and choses in action made by or on behalf of those designated as “enemies” under the Act.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
