The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(4) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984[^f00001], makes the following Regulations.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the National Police Records (Recordable Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 and shall come into force on 30th July 2012.

Amendment of the National Police Records (Recordable Offences) Regulations 2000

(1) The Schedule to the National Police Records (Recordable Offences) Regulations 2000[^f00002] is amended as follows.

(2) After paragraph 41 insert—

(41A) section 51A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003[^f00003] (offence of soliciting); (41B) section 53A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003[^f00004] (offence of paying for sexual services of a prostitute subjected to force etc).

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Police National Records (Recordable Offences) Regulations 2000 to make offences contrary to sections 51A and 53A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 (soliciting and paying for sexual services of a prostitute subjected to force) recordable offences.
