The Secretary of State, having been designated[^f00001] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[^f00002] in relation to the environment, makes the following regulations under the powers conferred by that section.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Volatile Organic Compounds in Paints, Varnishes and Vehicle Refinishing Products Regulations 2012 and come into force on 27th July 2012.
