The Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Commencement No. 9) Order 2012

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 182(5) of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009[^f00001].
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Commencement No. 9) Order 2012.
Provisions coming into force on 7th August 2012

Section 117(1), (2) and (3) of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (detention of persons under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000[^f00002]) shall come into force on 7th August 2012.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force section 117(1), (2) and (3) of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 on 7th August 2012. These provisions amend section 36 of the Terrorism Act 2006 (c.11) so that the independent reviewer of terrorism may consider as part of their review whether requirements and practices have been complied with in relation to persons detained under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
