Coming into force: 14th November 2012

The Treasury make the following Regulations, except regulation 6(1)(a), in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 16(2) and (4) of the Finance Act 2007 .

The Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change is designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the environment.

The Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change makes regulation 6(1)(a) in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Community Emissions Trading Scheme (Allocation of Allowances for Payment) Regulations 2012, and come into force on 14th November 2012.
