The Public Service Pensions Act 2013 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2013
Made: 24th June 2013
The Treasury make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41(2) and (3) of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013[^f00001].
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Public Service Pensions Act 2013 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2013.
Appointed day for the coming into force of certain provisions of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013

25th June 2013 is the day appointed for the coming into force of—
- (a) section 10 (pension age) of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013, for the purposes of the report under section 36 (Defence Fire and Rescue Service and Ministry of Defence Police: review); and
- (b) section 36 of that Act, for all purposes.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force on 25th June 2013 certain provisions of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013 (c.25). Those provisions are section 10 (pension age), for the limited purposes specified in the Order, and section 36 (Defence Fire and Rescue Service and Ministry of Defence Police: review), for all purposes. This is the first commencement order to be made under the Act.
This Order will have no effect on the costs of business and the voluntary sector. For that reason, no impact assessment has been produced.
