The Mental Health (Discrimination) Act 2013 (Commencement) Order 2013

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 4(2) of the Mental Health (Discrimination) Act 2013[^f00001]:

This order may be cited as the Mental Health (Discrimination) Act 2013 (Commencement) Order 2013.
Appointed day

Section 2 of the Mental Health (Discrimination) Act 2013 comes into force on 15th July 2013.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
Article 2 of this Order brings section 2 of the Mental Health (Discrimination) Act [2013 (c.8)](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2013/8) into force. Section 2 amends the Juries Act [1974 (c.23)](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1974/23) in relation to qualification for jury service based on mental health.
