The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 150(3) and (4)(a) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012[^f00001].

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Welfare Reform Act 2012 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2013.

Appointed days

(1) Except as specified in paragraphs (2) and (3), section 120 of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 (loss of tax credits) comes into force on 6th April 2013.

(2) Subsection (2) of that section and subsection (1) of that section in so far as it relates to it come into force on 1st February 2013 only for the purpose of making regulations and orders.

(3) Subsection (4) of that section and subsection (1) of that section in so far as it relates to it come into force on 1st February 2013.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This is the seventh Commencement Order made under the Welfare Reform Act 2012 (c.5).

Article 2 brings into force section 120 of that Act which amends the Tax Credits Act [2002 (c.21)](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2002/21). Subsection (2) (only for the purpose of making regulations and orders) and subsection (4) (and subsection (1) in so far as it relates to those subsections) come into force type=start time=1364978614269on 1st February 2013.type=end time=1364978614269 For all other purposes, that section comes into force on 6th April 2013.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on the private sector or civil society organisations.
